There is a shortage of doctors. There is a shortage
of surgeons. There is particularly a shortage of rural surgeons. These factors may help doctors define and find

Our Land of the Free is out of money and controlled by laws
made in Congress thousands of miles from patients, a profligate Congress which legislates for itself medical insurance
for care not available to all citizens. Our Congressional and cultural blindness cannot be stopped, but the inevitable
iceberg has been sighted. If the USA continues to waste up to 31% of hospital budgets on administrators,
who will answer your call for help when you need help at home or in hospital at 2 A.M.? At the end of the day, we are
all patients. The solution, therefore, is not to rely on Congress but to compare the 3 local hospitals available to
you, item by item. Competition, not legislation, may control costs; only compassion will assure care.
